The countdown has begun. With 100 days to the return of the world’s fastest-growing triathlon event, the Dubai T100 (Nov 13–16), one of the UAE’s most highly regarded endurance athletes, Ghani Souleymane, is launching a head-spinning challenge: 100 non-stop 100km triathlons in 100 days, culminating in his 100th on the Dubai T100 start line on Sunday November 16.
From tomorrow (Friday) at Kite Beach, the attempt is a legitimate Guinness World Record attempt and will raise proceeds for children of conflict. Every day triathlon will conform to the official T100 format – 2km swim, 80km bike, 18km run – adding up to an incredible 10,000km.
“More than sport is this challenge,” explained Ghani who is not new to extreme challenges having already done 30 ultramarathons in 30 days (2020) and 30 Ironmans in 30 days (2023). “It’s about demonstrating what can be achieved when you leave everything on the table and using that commitment to provide for children who have lost so much.”
A Festival of Endurance – For All
Supported by the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) and as part of the international T100 Triathlon World Tour.
The Dubai T100 is fast establishing itself as one of the world’s premier multisport weekends – featuring high-level racing alongside mass participation and lively, festival vibes against the backdrop of the city’s famous skyline.
The event also forms part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC), encouraging residents to commit to 30 minutes of activity for 30 days each year.
