Dubai Police unveiled the smart “Your Neighborhood Police” platform, it is a new community tool that is designed for all the residents of Dubai. This initiative has reflected the force’s commitment towards building a stronger bond and partnership with the public by promoting a concept of shared security.
This platform gives all the residents a chance to play an active role in keeping their neighborhood safe. It works by raising awareness about security and educating the community on certain common mistakes and how they can be avoided and help spot the negative behaviors or issues that can affect social harmony. Once they are identified, Dubai Police will work with the residents to look for the best solutions.
The platform is more than just a reporting tool, rather it invites the users to actively take part in Dubai Police events and initiatives. While they will also encourage community visits and other social interactions. This is a two-way engagement that builds trust and also strengthens the bond between the officers and residents.
In order to encourage a positive contribution, the Dubai Police introduced a recognition system for the ones who are active on the platform. The volunteers will be given a special training workshop to help make the most of the platform and the services.
