Manakish Recipe
Manakish (plural of Manousheh) is a very old flatbread eaten for centuriesall over the whole Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Palestine. "Manakish"comes from the Arabic "naqasha", or "to carve out"

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tbsp yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ cup olive oil
- ½ tbsp zaatar spice mix
- ¼ cup of olive oil (paste)
Sugar and yeast in warm water, let bloom.
Floured, salt, yeast water, olive oil. Knead to smooth.
Dough will double.
Zaatar and olive oil to make a spread.
Roll the dough in rounds, spread zaatar paste.
Bake for 7–10 minutes at 220°C (430°F).
Serve with labneh, cheese, or raw vegetables.
